If I thought I had even the remotest chance of getting a job at Google, I’d apply. I can imagine it’s probably the coolest place on earth to work right now.
Luckily for me, Atlassian’s a pretty cool place to work too, because I rather doubt my resume would stack up. 🙂

By “which email address do you want us to use?” I do not mean to ask what your email address is, I mean to ask which of your email addresses would you like us to use – personal, work, junk, etc?

Aren’t the non-US offices simply sales offices?
If I thought google had canadian development offices (in, say, Toronto, Vancouver or Montreal, maybe Halifax), I would have considered applying to
them long ago. 😉

Sending resumes to Cedric.
Cedric is inviting developers to email him if they want to work at Google. I’ve tried similar experiment few weeks ago and unfortunately didn’t get any success. Cedric is definetely has much better conditions and I really wonder how many candidates he

One more question about people from outside US.
Do you know if it’s possible for google Inc. to employ foreigners? I mean there is no office in my country, and I’m considering about move to somewhere else.
Thank you in advance.

I have so much knowledge on php, sql, c, and other languages. Iam developing an OS now with a group of friends now.
I have many experience programming web based software:
– PHP web applications (medium and large size) with Mysql databases.
– XML web services.

Yeah, I considered working for Google a long time ago, but their office in Atlanta is just sales. 🙁
Come on Google – you need to open up a dev office in the Silicon Valley of the South. 🙂

I don’t think working at Google is the coolest thing right now. Google is loosing its appeal, and also loosing the battle with the spamers. Their neglect of metadata is taking its revenge right now, and although Google is hiring lots of NLP people the company has not figured out to really answer queries by combine information from multiple sources.
The catalog and froogle services are steps into the right direction, but Google need to go far beyond these simple types of information.
I noticed the hiring ad if someone searches for “Semantic Web” – but no community involvement of Google.

Dear Google,
I am 17 years old and I have always wanted to work as a developer. I thrive on making a company expand even more. I would really want a job working for Google. I live in California which has the 5th largest economy and I really want to be apart of that growth. If possible send me an e-mail telling me how I can get started.
If for any reason I cant get this job can you please send me an e-mail with info on how I can get started by taking classes or doing anything to be apart of the Google team.
Thank you for this opportunity.

I am really interested in working for Google (marketing capacity)after I complete my MBA in May. Is there any way we could speak about my interests in google and the process I will need to go through. I emailed google my resume on yesterday (11/28/05), but would still very much like to speak with you. Especially considering I will not be available until May of 06.
Thanks

Since a big part of Google is information, then why aren’t there home-based jobs available? That would be ideal.
It doesn’t seem too far fetched does it?
If they exist, then let me in…PLEEEEASE!
#51 by Naman on December 13, 2005 - 7:05 am
Oh and I’m 29.
I work for an affiliate of NBC in Idaho.
I do some work with the website here, but mainly direct a morning news program.
I’m serious though, there should be AT-HOME jobs available Google.
oh well, it was worth a try.

I agree working for Google seems to be the coolest thing as of now for all software engineering. But had it not been for their spirit, wouldnt Brin and Page be working for Microsoft/Yahoo which were the coolest places then for Grads?? I think we need to take some lessons from them …cause if x->1 then x can never be equal to 1. Build a world of your own…God Bless

You people are sad. It would not be so bad that you are groveling at the feet of this man…but you insist upon not following directions or not reading his post. In it he explains that he wants to see your information in an email not in a post on his blog. Another thing I noticed was someone asked which email does Cedric want people to send thier resumes for a job to….work, personal, or junk…hmm…since this isn’t obvious send it to junk. Finally, a multi-national corporation giving anything but a janitorial job to a 14 year old..lol
I wish for all of you to have a nice day.

I have had an upgrade about a week ago when typing an email. I now cannot get back on active x. I have tried everything but it won’t work. I have been trying for days just to email someone at a help desk instead of trying to hunt and search for the answer that I need. I am about to change to yahoo as this is getting rediculuous. I realize that putting all the crap on help issues is easier for google but, it is not necessarily easier for their customers. If you could be of assistance I would greatly appreciate it. If not by, by google.
